                                      Friend Ship

Words of Friendship
True Friends
There are many people
that we meet in our lives
but only a very few
will make a lasting impression
on our minds and hearts
It is these people that we will
think of often
and who will always remain
important to us
as true friends

Some Friends Are Forever
Sometimes in life,
you find a special friend:
someone who changes your life
by being a part of it.
Someone who makes you laugh
until you can't stop;
someone who makes you believe
that there really is
good in the world.
Someone who convinces you
that there is an unlocked door
just waiting for you to open it.
This is forever friendship...

When you're down,
and the world seems dark and empty,
your forever friends lifts you up in spirit
and make that dark and empty world
suddenly seem bright and full.
Your forever friend gets you through
the hard times, the sad times,
and the confused times.
If you turn and walk across,
your forever friend follows.
If you lose your way,
your forever friend holds your hand
and tells you that
everything is going to be okay.
And if you find such a friend,
you will feel happy and complete,
because you need not worry.
You have a forever friend for life,
and forever has no end.
~ Laurieann Kelly ~
You are my friend and I hope you know that's true.
No matter what happens I will stand by you.
I'll be there for you whenever you need.
To lend you a hand to do a good deed.
So just call on me when you need me my friend.
I will always be there even to the end.

S L O W D A N C E
Have you ever watched kids
on a merry-go-round
Or listened to the rain
slapping on the ground?

Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?

You better slow down
Don't dance so fast
Time is short
The music won't last

Do you run through each day on the fly
When you ask "How are you?"
do you hear the reply?

When the day is done,
do you lie in your bed
With the next hundred chores
running through your head?

You'd better slow down
Don't dance so fast
Time is short
The music won't last

Ever told your child,
We'll do it tomorrow
And in your haste, not see his sorrow?

Ever lost touch,
Let a good friendship die
'Cause you never had time
to call and say "Hi"?

You'd better slow down
Don't dance so fast
Time is short
The music won't last

When you run so fast to get somewhere
You miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day,
It is like an unopened gift....
Thrown away...

Life is not a race.
Do take it slower
Hear the music
Before the song is over.
Heaven On-Line
There's a land where I go when I need to share
that's not on a map, yet exists everywhere
A land of names without faces, a curious place
A modern creation that's called cyberspace.
There's all creation of people with cute little names
Like Pookie, and Sandman and Rosebud and Flames.
Some are just snobs and some are real fun.
And some of them just want to find someone.
But both good and bad they all play a role.
Still each one unique, but part of the whole.
We talk and laugh and wonder why.
We flirt and hug and sometimes cry.
We can't be heard and can't be seen.
Yet, there it is, right on our screen.
But all in all the most curious part
Is the power it has to open our heart.
To share with a stranger those things we've concealed
Which to our closest of friends we'd never reveal.
Our deepest regrets and most troubling fears
The scars in our life which bring us to tears.
What gives them the power to reach into me
and show me the truths that I never see.
How do they manage to open my eyes
And make me confess the deceit and the lies.
I don't understand this magical spell,
But I know that without it my life would be hell.
This must have been planned by the Creator up above,
Cause there's no place on earth where you'll find as much love.
When I need direction I know I can find
those angels from heaven just waiting online.

"Around The Corner"-By Henson Towne
Around the corner I have a friend
In this great city that has no end,
Yet the days go by and weeks rush on,
And before I know it, a year is gone
And I never see my old friends face,
For life is a swift and terrible race,
He knows I like him just as well
As in the days when I rang his bell,
And he rang mine.

We were younger then,
And now we are busy, tired men.
Tired of playing a foolish game,
Tired of trying to make a name.
"Tomorrow" I say "I will call on Jim"
"Just to show that I'm thinking of him"
But tomorrow comes and tomorrow goes, And
distance between us grows and grows.
Around the corner!-yet miles away,

"Here's a telegram sir--"
"Jim died today."
And that's what we get and deserve in the end.
Around the corner, a vanished friend.

A Hug
There´s something in a simple hug
That always warms the heart;
It welcomes us back home
And makes it easier to part.

A hug´s a way to share the joy
And sad times we go through,
Or just a way for friends to say
They like you ´cause you´re you.

Hugs are meant for anyone
For whom we really care.
From your grandma to your neighbour,
or a cuddly teadybear.

A hug is an amazing thing -
It´s just the perfect way
To show the love we´re feeling
But can´t find words to say.

It´s funny how a little hug
Makes everyone feel good;
In every place and language,
It´s always understood.

And hugs don´t need new equipment,
special batteries or parts -
Just open up your arms
And open up your hearts.

My Cherished Friend
The stars in heaven shine so bright,
but did you know you were my light?
You helped me grow, you set me free,
you always saw the best in me.
And did you know when days were sad,
you always cared, my heart was glad.
My thoughts of you are always sweet,
and you have made my life complete.
You are my blanket from the storm,
your kind embrace will keep me warm.
No matter where our lives may go,
there is one thing that you should know.
That I will cherish my whole life through,
the heartfelt days I've spent with you.

Did Anyone Ever Tell You?- Written by Carole Creswell -

Did Anyone Ever Tell You,
Just How Special You Are
The Light that You Emit
Might even Light a Star

Did Anyone Ever Tell You
How Important You Make Others Feel
Somebody out here is Smiling
About Love that is so Real

Did Anyone Ever Tell You
Many Times, When They were Sad
Your E-mail made Them Smile a bit
In Fact It made Them Glad

For the Time You Spend Sending Things
And Sharing whatever You Find
There are No Words to Thank You
But Somebody, ~ Thinks You're Fine

Did Anyone Ever Tell You
Just How Much They Love You
Well, My Dearest " Online " Friend
Today I am Telling You

God sends us many blessings
from the heavens up above,
He gives us peace and gladness
and the dear ones that we love.

He cheers us with the shinning sun
and He makes the flowers grow
He gives us beautiful rainbows
and the special faith they show.

He gives the gift of friendship
while He teaches us to share
And He blesses us with special friends
so we can show how much we care.

Love

                                             Love

called falling in love, because you don't force
yourself to fall, you just fall.

Lucky is the man who is the first love of a woman,
but luckier is the woman who is the last love of a man.
* * * * * * * * *

It takes a minute to have a crush on someone,
an hour to like someone, and an day to love someone...
but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.
* * * * * * * * *

It breaks your heart to see the one you love is happy
with someone else, but it's more painful to know that
the one you love is unhappy with you.

If love is the answer,
can you please repeat the question?
* * * * * * * * *

Faith makes all things possible.
Love makes them easy.
I believe that to truly Love, is the ultimate
expression of the will to live. A heart that
truly loves is forever young.

Love makes life so confusing, but without love
would you really want to live?

Three things of life that are most valuable -
Love, self-confidence & friends.

Who do you turn to when the only person
in the world that can stop you from crying,
is exactly the one making you cry?

                                          Friends

Friends is an American sitcom created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman, which aired on NBC from September 22, 1994 to May 6, 2004. The series revolves around a group of friends in Manhattan. The series was produced by Bright/Kauffman/Crane Productions, in association withWarner Bros. Television. The original executive producers were Crane, Kauffman and Kevin Bright, with numerous others being promoted in later seasons.
Kauffman and Crane began developing Friends under the title Insomnia Cafe in November/December 1993. They presented the idea to Bright, with whom they had previously worked, and together they pitched a seven-page treatment of the series to NBC. After several script rewrites and changes, including a second title change to Friends Like Us, the series was finally named Friends and premiered on NBC's coveted Thursday 8:30 pm timeslot. Filming for the series took place at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California in front of a live studio audience. After ten seasons on the network, the series finale was promoted by NBC, and viewing parties were organized around the U.S. The series finale (the 236th episode), airing on May 6, 2004, was watched by 51.1 million American viewers, making it the fourth most watched series finale in television history and the most watched episode of the decade.
Friends received positive reviews throughout its run, becoming one of the most popular sitcoms of all time. The series won many awards and was nominated for 63 Primetime Emmy Awards. The series, an instant hit from its debut, was also very successful in the ratings, consistently ranking in the top ten in the final primetime ratings. Many critics now regard it as one of the finest shows in television history, including TV Guide, which ranked it No. 21 on their list of the 50 greatest TV shows of all time. In 1997, the episode "The One with the Prom Video" was ranked No. 100 on TV Guide's 100 Greatest Episodes of All-Time. The series made a large cultural impact, which continues today. The Central Perk coffee house that was featured prominently in the series has inspired various imitations throughout the world. The series continues in syndication worldwide. All 10 seasons are available on DVD. The spin-off series Joey was created to follow up with the series after the finale.
